2015 PTAC Membership Survey Results
The NES PTAC budgeting process is underway, using the input provided by the PTAC Membership via the 2015 NES PTAC Survey. In the end, 160 families participated, with 5TH GRADE winning the prize for highest survey participation! Sincere thanks to those who offered their opinions in the survey. The information is highly useful as we go through our planning processes.

Here are a few highlights from the survey:
- Over 76% of respondents felt that the focus of the PTAC should be funding paraprofessionals at every grade level, rating it as Extremely important. Another 20% felt it was Somewhat important (second highest selection - 96% total).
- After that there was approximately a three-way tie for the next highest priority:
- Provide funds for supplemental classroom materials, teacher grants, etc.: 54% Extremely, 35% Somewhat (89% total)
- Provide support for teachers through classroom volunteers, parent education, Science Garden programming, etc.: 51% Extremely, 37% Somewhat (88% total)
- Sponsor enrichment programs such as special presentations and guest speakers that enhance curriculum, art enrichment, character education, featured authors, science assemblies: 50% Extremely, 38% Somewhat (88% total)
- 90% of respondents said that the number of PTAC events currently being held was about the right amount.
- Regarding the timing of PTAC meetings, over 40% of respondents said that a mix of different options would be best.
